Try this:
Using Windows File Explorer. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ
Right click on the program DayZ_BE and "Run as Administrator" (or just run program)
Game Launches.
Select your server
Instead of the path shown above, this could be your path where the game is located.
Perhaps immediately after launching as administrator, the game will start and you can already select a server inside the game.
Tested only on official servers.
it helped me and many others.
1) Make sure that the security software you are using (antivirus, etc.) is not blocking the BattlEye service. You may need to add it to your security software's exceptions list.
Check to see if your security software is blocking both BEService.exe/BEService_x64.exe files from the BattlEye directory as well as the entire BattlEye Service directory, typically located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye
2) If adding BattlEye to the exclusion list of your security software doesn't help, or you don't use it, it may be an issue with the permissions of the BattlEye service directory or the files in it. To resolve this issue:
Delete the BattlEye service directory (usually located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye)
Try restarting the game.
I have exactly the same problem.
Cannot access any official server. (I can however access community servers).
When I try to access official servers I get error ''Connecting Failed (0x00010001)''.
I have tried all ''fixes'' which are described and available online. Nothing helps.
However, today I found out that this error appear for official servers when I launch Dayz from library by using ''Play DayZ''.
When i launch official servers via ''Run DayZ client'', I can actually access and play the official servers, and I get no error message.
I know this is not normal (and weird) , but it works for me.
Anyone know what is the reason for this?
Maybe it will work for someone else as well?
Please let me know.
I will update here if I find more info and/or ''solutions''.
The following works for me. Maybe for someone else also ?
Do as follows:
- Using Windows File Explorer. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ
- Right click on the program DayZ_BE and "Run as Administrator".
- The Game then Launches.
- Then I can select my official preffered server and it openes as it should. I do not know why this works, but it does..
- However, I have to do this every time. It sucks, but it will do until I find out what is really wrong.
I guess it worked for you as well? Do I understand that correct ?
I wish I could tell you why it work, but it just does. I noticed in an old post somewhere that someone tried this and it worked for them. Thought it does not hurt to try it. And it worked !! :-) LoL
I also discovered that I have to launch servers ''the normal way'' if I want to play community/modded server. Then the DaZ BE admin launch does not work. (strange).
Does it work the same way for you?
I will keep the post updated if I find something more.
By ''Normal'', I mean launch the game by choosing '' Play DayZ'' instead of ''Run DayZ client''.
I get these 2 options when I press play at dayz in the library.
Modded games/servers only work at ''Play DayZ'' launch option as this is where mods are launched.
When launching the game via ''Run DayZ client'', no mods are loaded. (As a friend explained it to me)
