DLC needed for non-dlc server

Any reason i need the dlc to join a server using chernarus?
only DZSA allow me to join my server. Vanilla launcher trying to scam me into buying dlc -.-

Same here, happens only on comunity servers not whit the officials.

I can't get either launcher to work for me neither. Have you possibly found a resolution? I done deleted and reinstalled literally everything multiple times.

I am getting the same message via the launcher and am looking for a solution where I don't have to manually set my mods every time I switch between my own or public servers... but in the meantime you can simply hit "PLAY" in the launcher, then "CHANGE SERVER" and join your LAN server right through the game menu as long as your mods are in sync. That bypasses the "Server Locked, Get DLC" wall if you are just playing Chernarus.

Think I saw that the third party launcher works to join servers.
It is the games own launcher that is broken I think.
