BE - Loading file blocked
Hi there,

I just bought the game and I am trying to play it for the first time, but somehow I am facing some issues when trying to launch the game (Dayzx64.exe) with the BE activated. There is a couple of rows mentioning the BE couldn't load a few DLL files placed on C:\Windows\SysWOW64 as its access is blocked to the listed files:

- uxtheme.dll
- edputil.dll
- urlmon.dll
- hid.dll
- Windows.FileExplorer.ssss.dll

Right after these messages, a Windows Dialog shows the error (0x000009a) "application DayZx64.exe cannot be loaded" and that is it! D:

Getting through the DayZ laucher, I can uncheck the option to not activate the BE protection while playing DayZ, but that makes my life tough as most of the servers constantly kicks me out as I am playing with no BE :(

Anything that you could advise would be more than appreciated :)

Sounds a windows security thing, BE cannot access those files and doesn't have permissions to do so.

I've had similar BS at work trying to install software I need, i'm an engineer and I use a lot of software that decades old and not built for corporate IT restrictions, IT dept have everything locked down and nothing can access the windows directory or program files directory, I had to twist their arm and get local admin rights or nothing would run.
I told them to "fix it or i'll fix it myself using methods you won't like", they fixed it, but they don't realise I wasn't joking.

In the case of your machine, possibly you're not admin, or you're a de-elevated admin (store bought PC), or you have some anti-virus or end point protection which is interferring.

Telling you to re-install windows is a dirty old trick that tech support use to get rid of difficult cases, by the time you've re-installed, it won't be that persons problem any more, they'll have closed the ticket and it'll be someone elses problem.

Sounds very suspect, recommend you go to www.malwarebytes.com and get the free download and scan for malware/virus on your PC

Malwarebytes found only 2 adwares, which I promptly removed. Still same thing.

I have contacted the BE support directly and, believe me or not, they said the only chance to solve the issue is by formating the laptop, restoring the Win11. It's unbelievable, all the applications and game runs smoothly and nicely, only DayZ is getting some trouble and their solution is "please restore your OS".

They might be joking...

I totally agree, Daxster! Unfortunately I had to format my laptop to hurry the things up! I tried several things with no success.
