[Launch error] "Error Creating Enfusion Engine"

Some of you have come across this error while trying to start DayZ:

Error creating enfusion engine
Error creating enfusion engine, possible errors are:
*GPU not supported
*GPU drivers not actualized
*DirectX broken
*other kind of error

Simply put, this most likely means that your graphics card is too old and does not support DirectX 11, which is a minimum requirement to run DayZ as of version 0.60.

But I was able to play before!

Prior to version 0.60, DayZ was using legacy code that tied the old renderer (DX9) to client-side simulation, which was causing a performance bottleneck, which meant that you would not be able to reach a high framerate no matter how powerful your computer was. The new renderer (DX11) no longer has this bottleneck, and enables new tech to be used more easily without having to work with the limitations of an outdated system.

This change was long coming, and it's been talked about in numerous Status Reports.

But how do I fix it?

Do all of the following:

• Buy a new graphics card. (cheap)
  AMD: At least Radeon HD 5450 or newer
  NVIDIA: At least GeForce GT 430 or newer
  
  
• Ensure that you have DirectX 11 installed properly.
  
  
• Download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
  AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
  NVIDIA: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx

If you've completed all steps, post a comment below and include your graphics card.

I don't know what my graphics card is.

You can find your graphics card with DxDiag:

1. open Start Menu
   
2. click Run (or use search)
   
3. type in dxdiag and press Enter
   
4. go to the Display tab
   
5. check "Name" under "Device"

To see which version of DirectX your card supports, check "DDI Version" under "Drivers."

Having DX11 installed -and- having a GPU that is supporting DX11 is not the same thing...check your card for DX11 support...

Bro i guess you dont get it i got GPU that supports Dx11 and i have Dx 11 instaled wtf is this Dx 11 crap , and why when i instal a steam game steam instals Dx11 with it only DayZ instaled nothing but the core game

You didn't mention anything about having a DX11 card...and DayZ -is- installing DX11 on a fresh install...check also your rig for an onboard gpu, if there's one, try to disable it...on some rigs the game seems to like to start using the onboard instead of the "real" card....

Also, with this attitude of yours, I'm not going to help you further, ask for help instead of ranting maybe?

this happened to me

AGAIN! After getting game going with compatibility check it worked fine until late last week. I suspected I would be in trouble when notice from Steam said they had made an update for w10 users.And as suspected the game once again couldnt launch (error creating fusion engine again). And this time no cure seem to work. Every update from Steam or Windows i a dread to me

are you using Windows 10 drivers? or actual manufacturer drivers? or chipset drivers?

IE ... from Microsoft, From say Gigabyte or say from nvidia!
