Mic Doesn't Work In Game

FIRST THINGS FIRST - No, it is not the microphone. It works in EVERY other program. Every single one. It is my default (AND ONLY) microphone input in my settings.

It is an Audio Technica 3035 XLR hooked up to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 2. I have fully updated drivers.

I did not have this problem until the newest update.

Things I have tried:
Deleting xml files
Verifying integrity
Changing servers
Rejoining servers
Restarting the game
Restarting my PC
Fresh-wiping my PC
Checking my Steam settings

Please do not recommend any of the above unless you can do so in a way I have not heard.

Do you get the icon showing you are "using the mic" when in game and pressing tab? (or your key for it) Have you rebound the Voip Key?

Also if you open Microphone Privacy settings (assume you are using windows 10)
does it list dayz as having accessed the microphone? (under allow desktop apps)

Yes, I get the microphone Voip icon.
Yes, DayZ has accessed the microphone under allowed desktop apps. Thank you for the suggestion, though.

So I assume a friend is saying they cannot hear you? if it is suggesting Dayz "has used your mic" it is picking something up ... maybe try a megaphone/broadcast room incase it is to low??

Final thing to check btw is as follows:
Right click your speaker icon near clock, open sound settings, look for "sound control panel", open it, on recording tab, right click your mic and go to properties, on advanced tab, ensure it is set to at LEAST DVD Quality, and Studio if available, also untick the allow applications to take exclusive control box, click Ok.

Last but not least, Communications tab, make sure it is set to "do nothing"

It was already at the highest studio quality available, however, I have applied the other two suggestions and will be testing it shortly. I will update with the results, thank you!

Hi there, what exactly did you do to fix this? I'm having a similar problem and have tried all the fixes you have. Was it the rebind of the VOIP key?

im having the same issue my dayz isnt asking permissions to use my old or new mic anymore and i havent been able to fix it anything i can do?

Literally Click Start - Settings and Search for "Microphone Privacy Settings" Scroll down and ensure Dayz.exe is under the "allowed Desktop Apps to access your Microphone" (One Slider) Finally ensure the Key bind is correct!

Finally go to Sound Settings and Ensure the correct devices are being selected.

i reinstalled my windows and it fixed it anyone else that needs this thats what i did it was a issue with my software of my old headset and my new razer headset colliding cause they both use the same software the base windows software and it was registering my old and new headset plugged in causing it to just not work

i have the same problem but i dont have the dayz in microphone privacy settings i dont know why

So just a update on everything i had to wipe my computer completely like everything on my pc hard drives and all and then reinstall my windows and re download everything and that fixed it the reason it doesn't work is either A your mic is Fighting the windows microphone options and it no longer registers or B the mic has its own software and the game is still registering the windows mic settings as the base setting and not the new one

im confused man.... you replied to his first post saying none of the things worked. Then he replied again with other steps and you said youd test them later. You come back later, reply to his first post (which you said didnt work) and said it worked..... so can you tell us exactly what you did to fix your problem

Having the same problem. DayZ is not showing up as an app in the Microphone Privacy Settings. Have tried everything else mentioned in the OP and in this thread otherwise, device setting, exclusive checkboxes, etc.
