I am having this issue now. It started a few weeks ago.
one day I was playing dayZ, left, came back, never worked again. I get this same error code.
Temps are great.
Driver up to date.
New system, Win 11 13700k, 64GB DDR5, 3070Ti. As far as I know all of the MoBo drivers are up to date, and all of the controllers for the entire motherboard and anything that says, "intel" on it on the list.
I had a 13900k running DayZ for weeks until it stopped working. I have done all of the Fixes I can find on the web, even reverted to a Restore Point back to Jan 10th which bricked my MoBo and M.2 SSD, and possibly killed one of my sticks of RAM.
It doesn't matter if I'm on this machine, or my laptop (which worked until recently.
this is also considering full reinstallations of the the OS, even on Win 10.
I went back to an older machine I KNEW it worked on previously, I booted it up after switching the parts in the case, and DayZ booted up. But then the machine started crashing, then sometimes only DayZ would crash. No idea why since the machine rebooted and I never got an error code. When only DayZ crashed it was CTD like I wasn't even playing DayZ. No error codes were produced.
This is bad.
Help?
So question is, are YOU thinking enough about what you are doing during these moments and seeing if there is a common denominator. Food for thought, like meatballs in the ear.
So, an update came out for Windows 11, and DayZ suddenly worked again.
then, I had to replace an SSD that died, in the above post, and doing the reinstall of Windows on the new drive and of DayZ and all it's mods, DayZ no longer works. Again.
This is tiring. I have no idea what to do. Between the DayZ update(s) and Windows 11 updates, and Nvidia updates, it's amazing that DayZ works at all for anyone. lol.
SO, I'm sitting here, waiting for Windows to update again and fix whatever they F'd up. or Bohemia puts out a small patch that forces the DX to fire and we're all happy again?
I followed the steps for "Layer Vulkan/OpenGL on DXGI swapchain"
You'll need "Nvidia Profile Inspector"

I had this same issue back in 2020, last time I logged in. It was on an older pc, but I remembered doing the exact same thing to fix it back then. Doubt they will ever even attempt to fix it.
In case the thread is taken down, here's the listed instructions:
delete DayZ folder in your Documents folder
download DayZ Experimental and install it.
Run DayZ Experimental
create one character
join any Official Server
after joining a server, exit the game.
go to your document folder again.
open DayZ Exp folder
you should see DayZ Exp.cfg
Rename The DayZ Exp.cfg to DayZ.cfg
go back to Your Documents folder and rename DayZ Exp folder in to DayZ
Start DayZ, after that delete DayZ Experimental installation.
