KICKED - LATENCY TOO HIGH?

over the past 3 - 4 days i have been constantly kicked for having "latency too high" with literally every server i join. i join servers in my country (UK) with lower than 20 ping yet this is still happening after a minute or two of joining the server.

DayZ is the only game giving me this issue and stranger still is the fact that my housemate is able to join every server i have an issue with and he seems to have no problem at all.

i have a high end PC and my internet is great too so i cant figure out what the problem is.

ive verified all game files and reinstalled just to be sure.

Am i the only person having this issue at the moment?

hey there folks, i was doing some checking, as i had a similar problem.
Playing dayZ and only with 1 server.
I play in

Barely infected
and i want also to play in therunningmanZ (both hosted by spaggie). I can't play this latest one and they kicked me out saying that battleye kicked me out because of ping.... my ping is between 100 to 180. I have a perfect response from the server and i play without lag in any other UK servers (note that i am note in UK)

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately nothing can be done on Community Servers, they set the "ping limit" usually around 80-100ms anything over is kicked. This helps keep server performance and also desync!

Would suggest you Try servers which are local to yourself and have good ping!

I also have this problem, all other games work fine, the servers i join show low ping, then i randomly get kicked for having insane ping, like 700+

Hi - hope you don't mind me resurrecting this thread - I am trying to play DayZ but get kicked from almost every server - I tried some of the steps you detailed above and noticed that after a bit when I run the ping check in cmd prompt that after about 10 pings it will say "Request timed out" then the first ping after that will occasionally be really high - like most will be about 23MS then one will be 1040MS before going back to 20 on the next one? I am joining via WIFI as ethernet isn't an option but the internet speed is like 40+ MB/S.

This is 99% your WiFi, they connect Via PCIEx usually and need CPU power to run, CPU maxes they can slow down, if you get "walls" in the way you get rebounds and other wireless issues!

Simple solution is you need a top notch Wireless Adaptor which runs itself (these cost a bit) or much cheaper, run a Cat Cable!! I have not tried the "power" adaptors ones but these "may" help ???
