that would be a rather extreme way when comming from 3840x2160, i mean i can downscale, the only problem is it ♥♥♥♥♥ up my secondary monitor, and displaces the browser i have to see the map on (new player need a map to find stuff :P)

it does change back it just distorts the entire desktop into the second monitor, and screws with all desktop icons x) but i'll try and make a thread there if that's the correct place to do so :) if nothing else it's a problem with ui scaling at higher resolutions that should be fixed eventually :)

How big is your 4k monitor?

28" though i have bad eyes wich makes it a larger problem for me then most probobly :)

problem is only with the chatbox though, not having a problem with menu text etc.

ah ok i have seen in on a 27" and it looked small but could be read just fine, but if your eyes are not great might explain it. From what i am aware it appears coded and not scripted, so cannot see a way to change the font or text size. Sure it will be fixed moving forwards, in the mean time just use the tab button more to check status in inventory.

I know ARMA has an interface size, but cant find it on Dayz, let me check the cfg files

You should try editing your config file (dayz.cfg) and change the interface resolution to a much smaller one, making it appear bigger on the screen.

But if that doesn't work, as long as you play in borderless fullscreen, you can play with a lower resolution without it displacing things on your second screen. (That's what I do on my monitors.)

Unfortunately DayZ doesn't give the option to use a borderless window by default, but you can use something like Borderless Gaming[github.com] to force it.

ooh thanks for the github link, actually been looking for something like this (dayZ isn't the only EA game with problems like this and my 1070 is getting pretty hammered at 4k res)

i'll be trying it out later :)
