Screen Pixelation/block/blur glitch
I started up DayZ SA like normal today, and all of a sudden i see nothing but blocks of color. Any idea on how to fix this?

On my screen were blocks of color, in the screenshot the resolution is very low and the image is beyond blurry

Your resolution seems to be 8x8 for some reason.

Go to C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\DayZ\DayZ.cfg and check your settings.
You could also try deleting that file and restarting the game.

New issue to me.
I was playing an hour ago. no issues. I launch the game now, and my curser is the size of a dinner plate, I can hear the birds but this is all that I see of the start screen.

delete your config file and felaunch the game.
you can try verifying game files in steam also.

looks like your resolution has been changed.

This is going to be a dumb question, but I'm not sure where those files are.

I found the folder. removed the file called DayZsetting. Issue persists.

Also, all the menus are off the edge of the display, so I can't get to them to change the settings manually.

Found the DayZ folder, in my documents. The file you mention is not present. just a folder called "Saved" and a stats.dayz.json file. Could it be someplace else?

Removed entire folder. Tested again. Issue persists.

ok open up the .cfg file and manually put in the correct resolution for your monitor/windows.

eg 1920 x 1080

Save and open up the game.

That file is not present. It wasn't there before I removed the folder. It didn't create a new one upon relaunch

The file called DayZSettings.xml has this:

<config version="1.0">
<filesystem />
<video windowmode="0" screenwidth="1920" screenheight="1080" posX="235" posY="120" ratio3D="1" vsync="0" fsaa="0" atoc="0" gamma="0" contrast="0" brightness="0" adapter="-1" device="-1" texturefilter="2" maxaniso="16" texturedetail="0" modeldetail="0" shadow="1" shadowcascades="2" omnishadow="0" llevel="2" rvterrainshaders="1" />
<render geometricdetail="2" postprocess="3" terraindetail="1" terrainsalpha="1" reflections="0" waterdetail="1" />
<controls>
<mousespeed horizontal="100" vertical="100" />
</controls>
</config>
