DayZ
No sound in servers?
Okay, so I'm pretty sure I exhausted all of my research on whether or not this is an actual thing that happens often.

So what happens is that the sound works everywhere EXCEPT when I join a server. So yes, I have the audio in the server lobby and the main menu. As soon as I begin connecting to a server, however, the sound cuts out. It's not my headset (I'm not using bluetoooth btw). I've run tests, everything is updated. When I go to the mixer, I have DayZ turned up pretty high, volume-wise. But there's no sound at all. Nothing's muted. Etc.

I've tried:
Validating the game files.
Uninstalling and re-installing Dayz.
Troubleshooting sound issues.
Restarting the game.
Restarting my laptop.

Oh and also, I didn't plug the headset in after the game was loaded. It was before, because plugging in my headset after used to always cause issues.

Help please?

Might also be helpful to say I have Windows 10, I guess.

When you go in game and have no sound tab out to your desktop and check to see if your sound mixer has not turned off the sound to Dayz . If it has then turn it back on. That has happened to me before in other games for some reason. But I use Windows 7. Good luck.
Thank you! We finally figured out that it's the sound driver. We uninstalled them and now just have the Microsoft sound driver running. We're trying to figure out if we can find another version of my laptop's original sound driver.
