Kerbal Space Program

Ez a téma ki van emelve, tehát valószínűleg fontos.

[MEGATHREAD] What did you do in KSP today? (pic heavy)
Hi everyone! In honor of the new update that is coming out soon, I would like to create a nice user-friendly thread with the high hopes of making it a megathread.

Here's the question: What did you do in Kerbal Space Program today?

I formed a plan to get to Duna and successfully executed the first task of my mission: Build the ship. Here it is:

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=159676215

The rendezvous and docking went smoothly. It only took me some 20 minutes to rendezvous and an extra 5-10 minutes to dock. Now all I have to do is wait a while for Duna to align itself properly, then I'll be good to go.

What did you do?

It's an addiction. Mods will pile up.

I'm planning on upgrading my PC, I'll probably get an AMD GPU.

funny thing is I've already installed a few mods and I haven't even launched a single rocket on this PC yet

Lol
Plans changed. I noticed i had an Eve window coming up even before Jool thanks to a beneficial alignment of Mün and Minmus. So the Jool mission got put 120 days more early.
2 weeks left, lets go!
And while chatting on discord about Moho i checked that one as well.
2 days…

Ill take it.

The Kaitaku quickly constructed a whooping >400 tons droptank for the additional fuel requirements.
80 Kerbals lined up on the runway, hundreds of tons of cargo had to be brought into LKO. in 12 hours.
At some point my SSTO lined up so shortly i had one coasting to AP while i swapped back down to the ground to start the next.

The new Lithium driven Goliath i wanted to test? Got 3 side-relay satellites, fueled and ready to go ahead:

And then! Just in time.

Goodbye Kerbin. You had been a nice and cozy craddle. But it is finally time to move on.
Today was, interesting.

I built a spaceplane that is one of the most kerbal things I built that was still trying to be serious, the Condor Mk1, named after that big honkin' bird. I got inspired by that one "Shuttle II" NASA concept so I built a simple shutle orbiter lookalike and, in true KSP veteran fashion, slapped two of the most powerful SRBs I could find, the Clydesdales.

Oh, whatever I could do without them!

It was way more successful than I thought, mainly because whenever I try to make a cool-looking spaceplane in KSP it blows up spectacularly. But, that's not to say that it was successful by much.

If you thought the actual Space Shuttle was a flying brick, just wait till you see me try to fly the Condor Mk1 spaceplane. I had to slap extra winglets, several of the largest SAS wheels I could find, and a big honkin' ore tank as ballast, and it STILL glode (I will write past-tense "glide" as "glode, I will fight you) absolutely atrociously.

In fact, the one test flight where I DID get it to orbit, it couldn't pull up in time and slammed into the ground at more than 100 m/s (not before three of its 4 RCS blocks burnt up along the way). But, it got to orbit, and the "Mk1" in its name implies that I have some improvement to do, so that's a start.

Here's the lovely Condor in action:

I have a plan for that Lunar gateway now. I'd like to bring a lot a fuel with me to, because this will probably be the last one before I try to do something and hopefully utilize it.

Bro is probably the first guy in years to post a screenshot here without any visual mods xD

I do, in fact, have visual mods. I currently have Scatterer installed (but no EvE, yet) but Kerbin is barely in view here, lol

Lol I'm so used to Distant object enhancement
I still have Jeb orbiting Neidon. Should I go to the Apoapsis and burn retrograde using his EVA Jetpack to kill him or should I wait until he dies eventually or... Should I try to send a recovery mission.

nah just let him orbit forever, he'll be fine.

It's on a sub-orbital trajectory although I think physics in ksp means that the atmosphere won't do it's works on him if I'm not focusing on him or and within a certain distance
