Parallax in 2023

I tried the second time after a year, but still I don't see any difference in visual. Should I see trees and grass at the space center?

Sorry for being unclear. I'm talking about the Parallax mod. I followed the instructions exactly for installing this mod, but I feel like nothing has changed. The showcases display such beautiful graphics; I hope these aren't just fake. It would be so nice to have KSP 1 with better graphics. Too bad it's not working for me.

yeah i only see trees and grass thats all maybe we installed it incorrectly or its supposed to be like this and the photos were made in an editor (theres a low chance but its possible)

I installed it using CKAN and it worked as advertised. Too well in fact as my Laythe base simply blew up.

Thanks. I would like to avoid clicking on .exe files :-) Is there another ways to install Parallax?

a large majority of the things you use on your computer on a day-to-day basis are exe files

".exe" files just execute whatever commands they hold. It would be kind of impossible to do modding for you if you literally refuse to click anything that executes code...

Also, the area around the Space center is quite empty of trees and the grass is not really visible on the default view of the KSC either (too small). Try creating a tiny land vehicle to move around from the runway and you can easily see the grass while controlling that if the mod is working correctly.

if you're just looking at the space center without actually launching a craft you should know that parallax only adds scatterer effects when you're actively in a vessel.

it doesn't change the space centers surroundings during the menu mode where you click on each building, you have to actually launch something to see the changes.

Thanks to all. In the end I installed CKAN. Everything works fine now with Parallax and I can see the changes. Great.
