You can land on planets in Kerbal, though I wouldn't consider it like No Man's Land at all. You have a set solar system here to play with, and the game focuses on realistic space travel simulation, rather than sci-fi style exploration and action.

there is orbiter where you can pilot real shuttle or fictionnal stuff into space and on different planet, but that is more of a real simulation and needs a lot of learning to get there ^.^; I think you can get out of ship on some of them but i am not quite sure tho but not the character doesnt have motions iirc

Shores of Hazeron and Rodina are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Rodina looks promissing, but after my space engineer dissapointment, I'm leary of any more ea games, added to the wishlist for the next 5 years till its done.

If you are mosochist a bit and you don't mind old games, some iterations of Battlecruiser 3000AD had planetary landings and more. I can't remember which of these games had landing, because I have played them very long ago.

They are quite complex and they have brutal learning curve, but I loved them.

Shame he never got any of those into mainstream.

Free version. The most stable version I've played. And it is what is is, but being free, costs nothing to try.

Star Citizen will allow you to get into and out of ships and land on stations or planets. It's still in pre-Alpha yet. Currently you can run around the hanger and get in ships, and there is multiplayer ship combat.

oh i seen alot of that. looks amazing. so is the fps shooting avalable yet?
I was going to mention Star Citizen, but someone beat me to it.

Still, Star Citizen seems like your best bet.

(note: I admit I'm a bit biased - I'm a concierge member on the RSI website, meaning that I've spent probably WAY more than I should have on a game that's far from ready for release)
