Anyone know how to use the CRSY Light Scanning Arm?
Honestly, I don't see any instructions and I haven't been able to make it work.

And by something, he means the new surface features.

So it has to be mounted on a rover then

It has to be mounted on something that has the ability to get close to one of the new surface features and stop right next to it.
Can be a spacecraft, airplane, rover or even an 8 legged robotic spider, as long as it can come to a complete stop within range of a scannable object.

All three sizes are used the same, they only have different ranges and only the largest one is able to scan whole test at once. The picture shows how I have it myself: Scanning Arm [www.dropbox.com]

also the bigger the arm, the more science it gives.

I have been beating my head against this darned thing... full brakes on a rover, "vessel moved." Okay, I added legs to prop me up, and anchor me. "Vessel moved." This is infuriating.
= UPDATE =
I got it. I turned up rear wheel friction to 2.0, traction to 2.0, and brakes to 100. That kept my little buggy stable enough to complete the scan. Thank goodness.
