It's been about a year: What's the worst skill in the game!? (again)

It's cool how the best/worst skill changes every few patches...

This is the worst skill topic

What counts as a skill? Well, any of your actives/toggles from your classes and devotions, but not those from items.

Several years ago the consensus was Doom Bolt, then it became Summon Primal Beast, then Doom Bolt again, then Summon Hell/Doomhound... so, what's it this year?


EDIT: I forgot to mention that Olexra's Flash Freeze is exempt due to its OP vs. Trash and Useless Vs. Boss status which makes it simultaneously the best and worst skill

when reading this, i am wondering why its never gotten any love from the devs though. i mean, is someone really using this? even with the rimegongue set its utterly useless against bosses.
my suggestion is, revamp the "trap" thing to some kind of throwable debuff, like nailbomb or shuriken, which deals pierce and bleed and debuffs the enemies with slow and -DA% for X seconds. the node could be adding poison or vit dmg and slower attackspeed debuff, or something like that.
that way it would be at least somehow useful against champions + bosses.

any skill that's useless vs bosses, ie useless against the enemies that matter; does not remotely fall in the "best" category - any skill can clear trash easy, and OFF leveling is stupidly overrated... yay i can clear the screen once every week... ... Word of Pain and Pox etc etc can do that on demand, not just when the moon is high and the tide is right

worst skill is obviously Aura of Censure

Yes any skill can clear trash easy, but of all skills OFF has the biggest effective range which makes it uniquely good for this role - particularly for survival chest runs where there are very few immune champions or bosses, but lots of mobs that just waste your time (although the introduction of mobility skills via glyphs solved this problem pretty single-handedly)

pox has infinite range, at 1pt investment, OFF is a crap skill and hate the notion of people still perpetrating the myth that it's "good" because "it can clear a sceen" - multiple skills can do that, at better speed than OFF, with less investment, while remaining useful throughout the game
OFF is a crapola meme skill who's meme days are but living out its sunset days before it finally enters the trashcan for good

OFF does not have a single redeeming factor - trash kills count for 0 when you can kill trash with any 1pointed skill; while not making you wait half an afternoon to do it again
- people need to stop defending that puke spell's existence

anyone that thinks OFF is "good" or "best" and anything but a meme is coo coo for cocoa puffs and likely in dire need of a straitjacket stat

Blade Trap, definitely. You could argue that OFF is at the same level because both are useless against bosses unless you equip the right set, but I found myself using OFF a lot with my Trozan's Sky Shard builds. The AOE is huge and the duration of the freeze is quite long, so it helps a lot when you want to keep regular mobs away from you. Blade Trap, on the other hand, is just a line.
