omg! how hard is veteran mode!?

I was mistakenly playing veteran mode with my level 65 phantasmal blade character and dem gloomwald "tree" monsters wont die that easily!!!
And also one cave "boss" is doing some serious dmg!!!

Anyways, i decided that maybe my character is just too weak.
So i rolled to my very similar level 70 phantasmal blade character and now mobs do not stand any chance against me and also this "boss" is pretty much a joke.
Thats when i realized that other character had veteran mode on.

I turned it off and in future i will be playing this game on normal mode for sure, but now im wondering how hard veteran mode is compared to elite difficultie???

Is elite even more harder than veteran????

AoM more harsh than elite, it get worse in Elite AoM

seems like you're not even ready to fight against a single boss. in this case you reached your skill cap, just lower the difficulty or uninstall the game and play something else. Those two things are the best solution for you.

Veteran Mode is normal with more mobs as far as I'm concerned, so it's kinda easier than Elite.

And yes, maybe your builds are a bit too weak.
Just search some builds or search how to make viable builds if you're not accustomed to ARPGs like GD.

Not only spawns, they also be significantly stronger and thougher.

Thats why i was confused when those walking tree monsters became so though and how this one "boss" called: Avris Marrowill started doing ridiculous damage on me.

And i turn veteran mode off and everything was back on normal, much much easier.

Although turning off veteran is a fix of sorts, in the end it won't help. The game only gets tougher, so the wiser action is to respond to that and make changes that make you tougher.

Pretty much all of us are happy to help with that, so take advantage of the community's accumulated wisdom :)

Normal game to AOM is a huge different. You have really some nasty fights in AOM in the campaing. And yes elite is harder than veteran, but much easier than ultimate (also if your build is well equipped ultimate campaing normal game is not that hard, but aiganst AOM is a step higher)

I may be wrong, but don't enemies regenerate a bit of health when you die on Veteran mode?

You have to wear gears with almost maximum resistances. it really helps. 10% won't do, it needs to get 50 - 80%.
gloomwald and ugdenbog is really annoying part of the game for me. When you reach Malmouth, it will be a good time! it's much more easier than fighting ancient wendigo and stupid trees..

From my experience: if you can finish Ashes of Malmouth on Normal + Veteran then the main campaign on Elite is a breeze. And if you finish AOM in Elite you are more than prepared for main campaign Ultimate.
