Stone Form's tool tip describes a radius of 15m which has me confused. What's the purpose of the range?

I get hit I turn into stone - I don't cast a bubble around me like Maiven's hamster ball.

It says nothing about buffing team mates with the effect.

There appears to be no damage component other than it buffs existing retaliations which have their own ranges - does it add to that then?

If it does, would it extend the reach of a Necro's Spectral Wrath retaliation for example? I'm a bit sketchy on what constitutes retaliation in the game - I know Spined Carapace is, but I'm guessing Hellforged Legplates' Rimfire isn't - it acts in retaliation but I suspect the game treats it simply as a spell effect. Clarity would be appreciated of course.

I'm kinda hoping that Spined Carapace suddenly gets a 15m range - having one skeleton hitting me which results in all 20 of the pack around me saying "ouch" at once would be amusing.
