The question is, do those dungeon specific items have some kind of tooltip, that they are from that dungeon, or are they just labbeled as MI, but they drop from monsters that do not exist outside those dungeons?

There are areas which are just richer in rewards - typically will have a nemesis boss, a treasure trove chest and a rewarding end of dungeon boss - that makes for the most efficient expenditure of time in grinding for loot. Aside from if you want Fabius' green shoulders kill Fabius, this is what they mean by grinding a certain area for a certain drop.
