grimtools still down :(. crate should have helped or support grimtools? i mean every build almost everyone using it. host it officially in crate instead.

"GT is down because my account was suspended. I’m on vacation for two more days, so I can’t do anything to resolve the issue, access to site data was revoked and I was only provided a backup. I will be switching hosting and moving data somewhere else, so there’s a high probability that the site won’t be available until the next weekend."

that sadly abit long to wait.. but my point is IF crate were to help put the tools on their official site, will it cost a kidney for crate? did you understand? unless what i'm suggesting is too rude or unreasonable for crate?

Has nothing to do with it. It is Dammitt's tool and up to him to decide what to do with it. If he then asks Crate if there is anything they can do, then and only then, is it up to them whether or not to "help".

It all starts with Dammitt tho.. it is his creation afterall.

well if crate were to approach dammiit and "offer" him help to host it on their site perhaps in future. just a suggestion. thing is grimtools is really a top notch QOL tool for me. i'm sure it is for most people. again just a suggestion. hope that someone understand. and i do apologize.. i mistakenly thought it's already the next weekend.

Guess we'll see. All this type of stuff has already been suggested/mentioned before. I'm pretty sure Crate has seen the suggestions. If they want to I'm sure they'll communicate with Dammitt about it, he is after all a Praetorian (tester) of the game (tho he doesn't play much anymore I believe). We'll see what we see.

The point is GrimTools is an essential part of Grim Dawn, almost all player-base depends on it. Crate doesn't need to have an official counterpart to minimize dependency on 3rd party tools but to only re-host the existing one on their website.

And yer telling me nothing new about GT. I was there the first day Dammitt released it and I was posting about it here for people to raise awareness - and it went on to successfully replace GrimCalc.

Did you know that he was actually bummed out over the first days? Because it wasn't getting as much traffic as he thought it would? I had to actually tell him, "Now hold up man.. give it a little bit to spread."

Because I knew that what he had done was successfully made the GrimCalc killer.

You're right about that point and even a possibility that Crate doesn't want to do that either. I'm not saying you're wrong but my point is the game is too dependent on 3rd party tools.
