How I solved my problem camera stuttering when rotating it

"Open your options.txt file usually located in /UserDirectory/My Documents/My Games/Grim Dawn/settings.
Make sure the following two lines are as follows:

forceSingleProcessorMode = false
maxResourceThreads = 4

If you have 6 core cpu, set it to 6, or however many cores you have."



Some more info: Had this issue for a long time and only when rotating the camera (which I do often) so I searched the net/forums. Many people seemed to have the same exact problem but I found this fix in only one place and it was to help people having stutters/freeze constantly unlike me. I hope you don't mind me posting it clearly here and try to help other people that could still have this problem as it would have helped me greatly too.

I have a 980 ti and an 8700K. I only get stutters when I have a fast walking dude and the world is loading around me as I run around. These little glitches are fine and do not wreck my immersion or experience..

This is with an NVMe ssd.

I don't have those loadings on my side, even running full speed between 1685497 mobs. But I had a small freeze (between 0.5s and 1s) when rotating the camera and only then. It wasn't gamebreaking but 1s freeze can sometimes be lethal.

Btw the game is on my ssd too.

All the work put into that guide over the years is still helping folks.

My only gripe is I have no way to fix the links to Crates new forums vs the old forums when I made that guide. I just dont have the time to go find those new links and relink it.
