The Screecher is not starting

i tried so many things and nothing works, i tried unnistaling mods, reinstalling don't starve. i don't know what to do any more.
the thing is... i open the game and there is a image with "now featuring the screecher click here to play" i click on it and there is a window with "Restart Required: the screecher mod requires the game to be restarted." and options for me to choose in this window are "Cancel" and "Exit Now". if i choose cancel nothing happens, if i choose exit now the game just closes.

I was coming here to ask the same thing. The Screecher mod isn't listed on the workshop or anywhere. I've seen a lot of posts saying that it's supposed to show in the mods section in the menu screen of the game, but it's simply not there. Clicking the icon on the main screen mentions having to restart the game to enable the mod, but restarting does nothing.... the mod simply isn't downloaded or installed. I literally just downloaded and installed Don't Starve yesterday to this laptop and was planning on trying out the Screecher mod, but it's just not working.

Anybody know if there's like an offline version of it? Or if somebody could just Dropbox a link to the mod itself since it should (I would think) be a situation of copying the mod folder to your mod folder where you installed the game at. I don't think there's any further installation that has to happen.

I decided to try it, but am having this problem as well with it not loading or showing up after it restarts. Tried reinstalling Don't Starve and that did nothing

I thought maybe it was anti-virus interfering (I use McAfee Livesafe), but after disabling it and restarting the game, I still had the same problems. Did they disable new downloads for the mod or something? I'd certainly hope that isn't the case.

I know a website you can download the offline version of The Screecher mod,but I am quite worried about the game's security&stability, so I think we should wait for Kiel's official solution about this problem.

ok... how do i contact Klei to explain this error? i want so much to play this, i bought the game just a few days a go so i never played the screecher and i really wanted the full experience of don't starve.

Someone else in Kiel's forum also have this problem.Hope they can solve it soon:)

What's the link to the offline version? I've been trying to find it (since I imagine you'd copy and paste it like any other mod) but I can't find anywhere that has it for download.
