Wheeler's navigadget crashes

I enjoy playing as Wheeler; her dodge ability and focus on light packing makes her an extra-rogue character in this rogue-like game. However when I use her navigadget it tends to crash; most recently in Adventure Mode looking for Grass. She's a great character; the game shouldn't dissuade me from using her via crashes.

Aw man, I actually turned up here to report the same issue. The Navigadget was being buggy already for me, since loading back into the save caused my gadget to appear empty if it had an item in it (though fortunately the item was still there; I just had to move items around in the Navigadget slot to fix that bug), but at some point in Winter it just started crashing my game when I try to equip it. Suppose I'll have to keep that save file in cold storage for now, no pun intended. Which is unfortunate because I really love playing as Wheeler too.
