Can't click anything in main menu?

When I launch the game none of the main menu buttons react to my mouse clicks. Buttons highlight but no response. Tried verifying game files, uninstalling controllers, can't figure it out. anyone know how to fix?

I started having this problem too did you ever find a solution?

I just (kind of) found a solution.
At first I couldn't click anything and like op said I uninstalled, restarted my comp, verified game files, checked if it thought I had a controller, etc.
Eventually I just used trial and error to see what my controls were now set to on my keyboard and I was able to eventually get to the controls menu and reset them.
