How to make mods for Don't Starve ?

I saw many kinds of mods in the workshop so, i thought of making my own mods, but the problem is, I don't know how to make one.

Please give me a link on how to make a mod for Don't Starve or just give me the instructions on how to make a mod.

Heyyy, so I am learning how to make mods as well, because I came up with a couple ideas I want implemented in to don't starve together specifically, and found this to be the most helpful so far:

I don't know your experience with code and such, but I recommend that you learn LUA and Don't Starves TEX :

there is more info on the Klei forum if you search around, but thats a pretty good overview.

If you can't use TEX, there is also this link that allows you to convert TEX filed to PNG files

Oh, and the all so important klei guidelines for mods and such in case you want to share it:

Ok, you are awesome for finding all this for me! I've been trolling the internet for days and coming up with nothing on steam and the forum. Yet a few pages into google I randomly click on this link and find you! I just want to tell you how completely awesome you are, and if you would ever like to work on a mod with me, message me! Shouldnt there be stickies about mod creation for DS and DST in the steam forums?
Like seriously the workshop is a core feature about this game!
