Backpack+Chester the slowdown of the piggyback can be quite bad if you get ambushed.

If you have walking cane, piggyback, but if not it's not worth the slowdown.

There is always the Krampus Sack to try to get and although it's easy to grind Krampus it's next to impossible to get the sack. But it is well worth it!

backpack because the piggyback slows u down but if u have the walking cane thats another story also backpack is MUCH easier to get and im not sure whatelse if u have chester thats good to get him find a random cobblestone path and follow it itll lead you to the "Eye Bone" Which makes chester follow you if u drop it he will stay near it until he is eather killed or something moves him

Backpack for 2 slots extra piggy back ain't worth it even if you do have a walking cane.

Dilly personally I prefer the standard backpack. No penalties and its a good size to add to the normal inventory we get. Besides, I would rather use pig skins to build more pig homes.

If you organise your things you should always have enough space. If you want I'll take a screen pic of how I arrange my inventory to maximise space available.
