Don't Starve

Are replanted berry bushes and twigs bugged? None of mine work.
I've replanted 15 berry bushes and 10 twigs near my base, then fertilized them (the bushes, I don't think the twigs needed it). None of them indicate they need more fertilization, yet no berries have grown. I planted them on the 10th day or so, I'm now on day 35 -- still no berries or twigs. I spent the entire winter hoping these bushes would help me out.

rabbits suck. You should have more than enough monster meat and leftover crops.

You can't make honey ham, bacon and eggs, or meaty stew with nothing but morsels.

Day 10 to day 35 and they didn't grow. Unless this guy is on permawinter, they should have grown from day 10 to day 21.

So, once winter was over they did start growing. As Ahvaren said though, that doesn't explain why they didn't grow before winter started.

You put doodoo on them and wait for it to grow

Yes, as my original post indicated, that is what I did.

Rabbits don't suck. Just place a trap directly above the hole and they will get trapped when they come out. It's a great passive way to top up your food stocks. I keep a few chests filled exclusively with rabbits. Kill them as needed for drying rack material or nightmare fuel/beard hair as needed. Synergizes great with other ways of getting food.

If you use this method would you need to bait the trap?

If you capture a rabbit, dont kill it straight away. What I do is fill 2 chests full of rabbits. My main food source is honey ham, meatballs and dragon fruit pie.

Honey Ham .....1 Monster Meat + 2 Morsels + Honey
Dragon Fruit Pie .....1 Dragon Fruit + 3 Berries
Meatballs .....1 Morsel + 3 berries

So when ever I need just a health boost I make meatballs. I keep the chests stocked at all times and have 4 traps that I use to kill one rabbit every other day. Keeping a few chests of rabbits will make it easier to get nightmare fuel faster. Simply let your sanity drop wait for rabbits to become beardlings. Open and kill all the beardlings in your chests. I think its 30+ naughty level when krampus spawns so 18 kills wont do much. This way you dont need to spend long with low sanity. Just make a straw roll and sleep, or feed a pig some meat, make him chop trees and stand right next to it to increase sanity again. Simple :)

You should be farming beardlings, not rabbits, their drops are way more useful, and it'll take forever to get enough morsels to be useful, whereas I have tons of monster meat from hounds and spiders, and small jerky from frog legs and batilisks that I don't have to sit around waiting to trap.

Thats what I said lol. How to farm beardlings my way is easier. Fill chests with rabbits. Let your sanity drop. Look inside chests they will all be filled with beardlings. It saves you having to wait days with low sanity to farm beardlings. Capture rabbits, stock them up in chests then drop sanity then farm beardlings in chests. Simple :)

There's no reason to go out of your way just to get morsels. I get more meat that I need from farming silk, hound's teeth, and feathers.
