What's the best way to farm feathers?

Number one, I'm stocking up various darts, number two, I kinda want to shoot for a krampus sack.

I'd say boomerang, last time I bothered with killing birds I made a bunch of boomerangs and that feather hat thing and went to town on them.

Oh and I have like 20 blue gems so resources aren't an issue.

I suppose you could place a bunch of tooth traps around you and put on a feather hat to lure the birds.

I say if you have 20 gems there's no real reason you're going to run out of them, so use em. Silk and planks are an expense (wood in the event of treeguard hassles)

During winter however if you're doing nothing, a smallbird can be quite helpful hunting birds for you all winter for free.
