So maxwells door is actually completely pointless then, because you can't take anything with you and may as well just start a new adventure game from the main menu?
Does dying in adventure at least send you back to the same survival map (aka will all my stuff still be there? And what happens to any stuff im holding when I go through the door?)?
Thanks for the reply!
I'm kinda dissapointed that you can no longer make portals from one survival world to another but oh well, I haven't tried adventure yet, so that probably better anyway :P
Oh I didn't think you could make the wood thing anymore, I've explored most of my survival map but havn't seen a single piece of it.
Once you've built the wooden thing in adventure mode, though, you can take stuff with you to the next level. You still remember everything you've prototyped (so if you've already built a shadow manipulator and made 1 of everything in the game, you'll never need to build a science machine/alchemy engine/shadow manipulator again), prepared structures (ie. things you clicked to build, but then cancelled placing them) carry through (this might be a design oversight since it's kind of overpowered), and you can take 4 inventory items (including stacks of stuff) to the next level. You also get a new divining rod. According to the wiki, you can't take the eye bone to the next world though.
