Nature Karma?

So im unclear on the whole Karma thing. I read that if you kill too many animals some creature spawns and steals all of your stuff.... How do i know how much karma is left? How many animals can be killed before this happens? Is there a reset on it like a daily limit? Also i read that if i harvest too much in one day a monster spawns to attack me.... so ya any info on either of those would be awesome =D

lol i just looked him up on wiki, seems like he can be pretty nasty if you don't have logsuit on. I have another question if anyone cares to enlighten me, I read you can switch characters with the use of a tent.... this must be BS because it isn't allowing that. I was hoping i could play as wolfgang and swap to wilson now and then to collect the beard hair for epigys. If not what's the best way to amass amulets? I want to know if i die i can have some backups late game. (aside from the stone table things)

A tree killed me once, but it might be cuz I was low sanity. I didn't know there was a solid karma thing. I was just thinking today at work that would be a neat game idea. Like taking materials the easy way, and the forest being against you.

A tree guardian can kill you randomly just dont chop trees in the night

Didn't for me. He burns for ages. Trying to chop his legs just gets you stomped.
