When does DeerClops spawn

I know it is in winter, but what day?
I am on day 36 because the game deletet my superior game save on 346 days.

For me it's usually toward the end of winter, a few days prior to the end. You'll hear him just like the hounds...and you'll probably die if you fight him unprepared. He can kill you with one hit if you have no protection...he has a long reach too.
