wrong, bunnyman regen hp over time. if they're close to death they'll flee from the fight and when they've regened a certain amount they'll enter the fight once again.
also chester and the houndius shootius regen hp over time as well.
edit: its also worth mentioning, that mobs which spawned from thair home are always at full hp again. if you've beaten a pig a few times and it'll escape home during dusk time, then it'll spawn with full health again on the next day.
2 pierogi or fishsticks can quickly heal 80 hp and fill the pig for the max follower time.
red caps always do 20 hp damage to every creature that eats them (including the player). if you do some math then you could calculate how many caps a mob would have to eat to kill itself.
here just a few max health values for mobs who do eat red caps off the floor:
pigs(250)
merm(250)
bunnyman/beardlord(200)
rabbit/beardling(25)
gobbler(50)
bearger(3000) hf getting enough caps to kill this one. :P
