his attack is deceptively short ranged. you can get in 2 hits in between his one. the sanity drop is pretty big, but if you have a top hat or a tam, it won't be as bad.
fighting him while dancing around a fire is very do-able.

I ran him to a wooded penninsula and he was distracted by a pig village long enough for me escape. He never followed. It is spring but I do not have the courage to see how my pig-friends fared.

i live in the pig village because of the constant hound attacks. hes literally hanging around the only bridge connecting to my base. if i ran through hes gonna follow me. is it gonna work if i hide in bush every view step solid snake style?

id love to kill him but i only got like a spear for a weapon. my armor is decent but still not enough (football and log suit).

gonna try to survive out there but THEN the next night ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ice hounds came. i ran straight to a tallfort i found only to meet batilisk on the way after i opened that sinkhole.

i somehow managed to turn bush but wendy wont shut up about hounds coming even when hes literally right there on my screen. so basically, i got gangbanged by tallbirds ,bats and hounds.

now im down to 1 more touch stone. this gon' be a harsh winter.

any suggestions?

Go insane and kill bearlings and make a meat effigy. Kill a couple pigmen for the meat steaks

Then sleep and be sane again

Running away constantly only compounds the problem, deerclops needs to be killed and he is easy, just watch the "Kiting Deerclops" video on youtube man, you'll be okay

Your okay with only a spear and log armor

a spear is sufficient.
you may die, but take it as a learning experience. i don't even wear most of the time unless i descend into the ruins or when dealing with the ranged clockwork guys.
i can kill the giants without taking a hit. i died a couple dozen times, but i got to the point where most of the combat is extremely easy for me. practice makes perfect :)

maybe i should wait till abie is back. cuz wendy's hits are too squishy and seem like i need to hit deerclops more than any other characters

If you have trouble surviving, go into the caves and find those rock creatures, feed them rock and bring them to the surface. They'll kill mobs for you. 99.9% sure you won't regret it. Trust me, I'm almost, always, maybe right. 179 days survived here.

a good hint is too when u hear the deer clops put the bush hat on instantly and fuel ur fire. Make sure u have alot of fuel.

i cant survive outside of my base any longer so decided to finally kill him after getting a few armors and helmets.

the damn thing took me 5+ minutes to hit but its finally dead. and im almost dead too. and abigail just perishes after like 5 hits from this guy. gawd i dont think i can handle RoG yet
