Don't Starve

Friendly Treeguard
I've searched the discussions about it but I have found nothing.

So..a treeguard spawned in front of my house due to chopping alot of trees.Anyways I planted some saplings and it was gone. One day later it came again but in a friendly form. Not attacking me or my house, nothing.I'm afraid it may decide to attack someday. And I don't want to kill it if I can.

What should I do ?

He is not friendly it is neutral now. The time you chop a tree in its near, it will be angry again.

Well, to avoid spoiling too much, think about it this way...
If chopping trees angered the tree guard, don't you think planting them will soothe it?
In case you were unaware of the various karma devices in play, tree cutting is one of them.
The guard won't attack you unless you attack it or attack a tree in its presence, so you don't have to worry about it turning on you if you're clever. However, you could lead it away by cutting a tree, luring it away, then planting trees to neutralize it. Alternatively, you could get other mobs to agro on it, or light it on fire indirectly- it won't attack you that way.

I chopped several trees when it was near me and nothing happened.

Sure, if you led the treeguard to the pigs, the pigs will keep re-spawning even after they die, the treeguards defeat would be inevitable

I like treeguards... they help with fighting giants in RoG especially if you get caught in an evening attack. I like to spawn them on purpose then let them walk around my base. I can always get more logs elsewhere.
