Fastest way to get Azure Feathers?
I want to make tons of blow darts for giants, as fire darts were crap against the bearger. However, you can only collect Azure Feathers in the winter, and you only get them half the time from captured snowbirds. So is there a faster way to get them? Honestly I think making darts should be made simpler/easier.

you can use a boomerang to kill the birds. it's still kind of a slow process, but it's faster than baiting and waiting for a bird to land in a bird trap.

I can't imagine how you are planning on using them to fight giants. Each giant needs 20-30 hits with a blowdart.

The ones that move slowly are easily killable by kiting (Deerclops, Bearger, Moose). Dragonfly moves too fast, you'll probably be unable to shoot it much.
its 28 darts for the dragonfly.
you could do something like this.

this method also works with ice flingomatics because ice flingos are fireproof.
once he has him traped like this its just firing the darts on him, seems simple enough.

it's much faster to leave 20 ashes on the ground near the dragonfly. he'll eat them and then go to sleep. just put 14 gunpowder next to it, light it and that's that.

I've been wondering wtf was it doing when it decided to take a nap in the middle of ruining my base. I was hoping it would move away so I can summon Bigfoot on its face.

yup, i know.
but this topic is about using blowdarts which isn't really practical to make either because you need houndteeths for toothtraps.
so for me it would be darksword all the way and i dont kill the fly at all because its loot isn't as useful as the clops eyeball or the downfeathers. the bearger doesn't have good loot either. the icepack only holds 6 slots so i prefer armor over that and the vest loses durability way too quickly so i like the regular puffy vest better but thats only my preference. atleast the bearger is useful for choping down wood but the fly i only put to sleep using ashes and then let it despawn.

A lot of people do the gunpowder thing, but how do you get enough nitre? Rotten eggs I coudl get from pengulls and my birdcage, but nitre is kind of scarce.
you can farm it from moleworm burrows. you can collect the moleworms with the hammer, then dig up thair burrow and bring the moleworm closer to your camp. remember to feed the moleworm if needed because a homeless moleworm cant respawn. once you have a spot with about 10-15 moleworms close together you can dig up thair burrows for minerals like rocks, gold and nitre. sometimes the moleworm makes a new burrow right after you've diged it up so its a really efficient farm that can yield nitre and rocks alot faster then waiting in a cave for earthquakes.
