How do i harvest eggs from birdcage?

So i dont really know how it works.Do you just have to wait?Maybe give it seeds?So i would like to know how it works because if i harvest birdcage i just grab the bird nothing else.

You can give the bird cooked Monster Meat and Monster Jerky. It's good to get eggs if you have meat that has already spoiled and you dont want to waste it. You can also cook the Eggs and give them to the bird again so you can have fresh Eggs all the time.

feed the bird morsels for egg, feed them different crops to get the specific seed eg feed it a carrot and get carrot seeds to grow more carrot
