Sleeping Red-Butt Beefalo
If a beefalo that's in mating season is sleeping, will it attack you when you get close to it via night?

As far as i know it won´t attack you. You can shave them while they are sleeping and they
won´t attack you so i don´t think they will in the mating season. But you can just try it. You can outrun beefalos without getting any dmg.

I think they're more likely to wake up if you shave them during mating season. It's doable, just be careful.

You're fine as long as they don't wake up... and if they do, you better hide lol.

Hmm.....now this is back when I first started playing Don't Starve in 2013 so forgive me if I'm wrong. For some reason I am sceptical of shaving a beefalo in heat even though it is asleep. I don't know why, maybe I had some traumatic experience of 20+ beefalo chasing me in the middle of the night.

Just try and see what happens :)

You can shave them during mating season without them chasing you if you wear a Beefalo Hat. If you shave them without it, they will attack you.
