Manure From Pigs?
Sadly I died again, but in my most recent world I found a pig village. The wiki says that if you give them vegetables or petals, or just leve them on the ground, then the pigs will eat them and produce manure, and can do this every 15 seconds. Everytime I tried to give the pigs petals or carrots (some friendly some not) they refused to eat them. How do I get manure from pigs?

I've never seen a pig make manure, but pretty sure werepigs will still eat anything off the ground. Try feeding a pig some monster meat then leaving vegetables on the ground for the werepig to eat.

The easiest way, in my opinion, is by using berries. Gather up all the berries you need and feed those piggies. They will poop instantly. Then use the poop on replanting the berry bushes at your base so future trips are easier. After you've gotten a system working, use some poop to make a Bucket-O'-Poop. That'll make the most out of using it at fertilizer.

Thats odd, petals and vegeta8les always worked for me...
Perhaps this a dlc change, or perhaps the petals you tried to feed them were spoilt?

If a pig waves you away, its because he's already eaten recently and you have to wait before feeding him more. A better way is to just drop them on the ground near pigs, and let them eat them when they decide they're hungry, and you can run off and do other things while you wait.

However, theres an even better way to do it. Drop all the veggies you've got, then turn one pig into a werepig. Drag him over the spot with all the veggies, and he'll not just eat them, he'll eat them all at the rate of one per second, dropping manure for each one.

sometimes i get manure from feeding pigs, sometimes i dont. not sure if it's a chance-to-happen or if it depends on the food. if you can find a herd of beefalo, i think that's what they're called, then you'll be laughing. those things crap everywhere, and it seems if you don't linger too long near them they won't attack

Beefalo never attack unless attacked or in heat.
