Endothermic fire pit doesn't take any fuel

So I died in the summer because I couldn't get my endothermic fire pit to actually light. Has anyone had this issue? It doesn't take any form of fuel I can think of for a regular firepit. I initially thought maybe it took nitre, but even that doesn't work and according to the wiki it can infact be lit with wood.

Odd, its probably a bug of some sort; Mine has been working just fine.
