Don't Starve

Best ways to increase sanity?
I am currently on day 65 as wendy, I have a successful bee hive farm, twig farm, grass farm, A nearby spider death trap which gets me 19 or so monster meat a day,10 drying racks, a crockpot, and a huge berry plantation which have barely touched but I do have one proplem. My sanity is incredibley low, I have been wearing my top hat for every situation, have been avoiding actually fighting monsters when if I can trap them. What can I do? I really don't want to lose my save, It's the farthest I have gotten so far.

If you can afford the time to sleep, that helps. Not only do you avoid the nightly Sanity drain, but you get Sanity recovery. Chopping trees with Pigs as allies will also increase your Sanity(Or just having them as followers, but it's easier to get near them for their aura via woodcutting). Sleeping is more convenient but it costs 75 Hunger and some time for 33 Sanity(If via Straw Rolls), while the passive aura of Pigs(I believe 25 per real-life minute) and increased supply gain is superior if you can use it. A Tent provides 50 Sanity, and I believe has the same Hunger cost.

Most Crock Pot recipes also give 5 Sanity, so they help a bit. Since you're playing as Wendy, being careful with Abigail and not summoning her for some period of time would also help you keep your Sanity up; although sleeping provides less 'benefit' in comparison to other characters, since if I remember right Wendy loses less Sanity in Darkness, combined with wearing some Sanity items should keep you in sane shape.

Jerkey. That's how I do it. Tons and tons of dried Koalefant.

Most of what has been said is awesome advice and possibly the most overused ways (sleep roll/tent) for many experienced players as long as they know how to manage their time effectively during the day.

Another viable source of increasing sanity are Pumpkin Cookies[dont-starve-game.wikia.com]. Very easy to make and last for a decent time in your inventory. I'd say they are the best food sanity boosters in the game[dont-starve-game.wikia.com]. Simply sort the order of the foods in terms of sanity by clicking the sanity icon in the header twice so you get best to worst, to compare data.

Mainly I use Jerky. Easy to do and keeps a long time so not always having to remake it.
