Shaving a Beefalo

What would be the best strategy to shave a Beefalo?

Do I just walk up to one with Razor in hand and go to it? Can't imagine how to do it at night unless I find one sleeping, start a fire near it and then shave, which sounds like a really complex undertaking.

1x Straw Hat + 1x Fireflies + 1x Gold = Mining Light.

Torch + razor at night works perfectly fine, you only need to equip the torch and instead of equiping the razor you just select it as if you are gonna drop it, when you hover the razor over the beefalo a "Shave" option will appear and Shazaaam!, you just shaved the beefalo while holding a torch

What these guys say or if you can make one early in your play through get a spear adn hack the thing to death/. Fair play it'll only drop 2-3 beffelo fur but you'll aslo get 3-5 pieces of meat. Cook that and you'll be full for ages!!. Be worded though they do a kite attacvk so it;'s best to do that your self. Hit once and run away as it try's to hit you a couple of times it'll stop a little bit then get as many hits ion as possible ( ussaly tyakes the sp[ear down 10% to kill on befelo).
