Is there any way to get more save slots?

I have been wondering for a while. So is there a way to get more save slots?

My Computer
Program Files
Steam
Userdata
(Folder)
Copy the folder called 219740 and paste it somewhere else. Dump it on the desktop if you like. Go back into Don't Starve and delete/overwrite your saves. When you want to access your old saves, repeat the above process (to save your current games) then transfer the old file back into the folder.

It'll be annoying if you have to do it frequently although if you're just saving an 'archive' for whatever reason, it should be fine. I can't imagine someone would play five or more games of Don't Starve simultaneously, it'd be pretty disorienting every time you load into the world.

will these files become corrupt when there's a new update for Don't Starve, like the new upcoming DLC ?
