Sunken Boat?

Has anyone else found this before? This is the first time I have seen it. The half broken ship with a parrot on top just spawned on my map today. Any clues on it?

I ran into one of those. When I hammered it I got some Gems, and you can pull in the flotsam with a fishing rod.

yeah it is that Heavy Red. Never seen it before. I will have to hammer it down and fish them up.

I found flotsam in an attempt through Adventure mode earlier (didn't think to screencap it) but no ship. Good to know I can use a fishing rod on those, though!

Just saw it! Did the hammering too, with same results. I'm pretty sure the parrot can be fed/given something. I believe it should be a trinket of some kind (similar to the King Pig) but couldn't put me theory to test. The parrot flew away during winter... I wonder if it will come back. But, on the other hand, I have already hammered down the ship. I also retrieved the items in the sea with a fishing rod. If anyone gets to give something to the bird please let us know what happens. I'm curious.

I tried to give it a gold nugget as well as gems, it would not take any of those. I also tried various foods. The only one it would take was raw meat, but not monster meat. In return, it gave me a red feather and some dark flower petals then it flew away. I checked on it later and it was back. I gave it meat again and in return it gave me a red feather and some stone. I did not check to see if it would take cooked meat.

Oh... what a surprise. I tried those too (pretty much the same) and the little sucker was really rude. =P

The next time someone finds the parrot- put it in a birdcage, maybe it'll give us a clue? (assuming you can)

From what I've seen, the bird only accepts food and treasure (stuff the pig king accepts). It trades 1 food item for 1 mineral item (gold, flint, etc), and it trades 1 treasure for a lot of dark petals. It's also possible to blow up the ship with gunpowder, removing it permanently.


If you look at whats in the parrots mouth in the password screen, you see some unusual "pictures". I propose that these objects (toy boat, steampunk anchor, boot, etc), have also been added to the game- and have been hidden in similar fashion the "the things", The puzzle this time is literally a "treasure hunt", once all the requested items are given to the parrot- it should give the password. What do you guys think?

I saw it too and i read something about a new update.
In this update the boat comes in the game. Before it just could be cheated.
