How do you deal with frog rain

ok so i just got out of a session of dont starve i survived 47 days, i was playing as webber, i had 2 lives, my regular 1 life and my touch stone, i was in the middle of spring when i died. Throughout this session, i killed 3 mactusk camps, an uncountable amount of beefalo, 2 treeguards, 2 clockwork rooks, and a moose/goose. But what killed me? frog rain. both, frikkin lives, all because of frog rain. This is how it happened, i was making an endothermic fire pit, and oh its raining, frog raining, so i try to kill them so it wouldnt get worse, but it was quite the opposite,there was like 30 before i could say , my bad, so i keep trying to kill them, and eventually its night, and i left my torch in chester who died because of a recent hound attack,so i try to make a torch but i cnat because the frogs keep hitting me, so i try to sue the fireflies for light, but there wasnt enoguh space between them to kite the frogs, so died the first time. now i respawn at my touch stone, go back and make my fire pit, and well, MORE FROG RAIN, 2 days in a row theres been frog rain, so i try to kill them with the spiders, they all died and left 1 FROG, and it was yet again nighttime, so my fire went out and the frog finished me off, and you would say, why didnt you make another torch, well i did, but the frog pulled it out of my inventory before night came, it was lying on the ground back at my base, so yeah, im really mad and i dont want that to happen again, so any ideas on how to deal with this GOD FORESAKEN EVENT.

i usually just make an abundance of traps and leave them lying around. any stray frogs will get trapped and instantly die without enraging the others.
just pick them up and place them down again.

i actually like frog rains, because it's nice to have food come to you for a change.

I always build my bases near beefalos and herd the frogs to them. The frogs did happen to kill 1 group of beefalos. Luckily the other group of beefalos were in bigger numbers and demolished the rest for me. I guess jacob has the right idea. Make a killzone filled with traps and aggro 1 frog and the rest will follow and herd them there and they'll jump on ur traps and all u have to do is run.

I think your #1 problem was that you attacked the frog. Never attack a frog unless you're ready for any frog nearby to swarm you. They will only attack you 1 at a time usually as long as you don't try to hit them.

If you want to get lots of food out of this, run to some beefalo. The frogs will attack the beefalo, beefalo will kill so many that you will have no idea what to do with that many frog legs

Just run around normally. If you aggro a frog, drop a trap behind you. Pick up the trap, resume your walking.
