Can webber befreind the spider queen?

I was recently reading through the wiki and I became concerned that my spider den would grow up to become a queen, this may turn pear shaped as I value my walls and structures. But it would be nice to have her majestie on my side.

She is neutral but her spiders can befriended.

They won't care unless you befriend with one spider and it'll be attacked.

spiders wont kill giants for you though, unless you bring a very very big army and even then they're no match for the deerclops, bearger or dragonfly. spiders are worse than pigs or bunnyman in fighting. they dont kite and do less damage. I'm not sure why people play webber so much. he seems to be the noobs favorite, although his perks aren't that great. you're trading good fighters like pigs, bunnyman or teenbirds against the possibility to befriend the easiest enemies in the game.

heres a taste of how many spider queens you probably need for 1 giant kill. if the deerclops wouldn't have rawr'd at the end he might even would've won against the spiders.

I think people play him because he is diferent and perhaps a little more interesting than the other characters, plus the beard makes it easy to get silk AND is a great insulator. Deerclops is always a tricky mob to fight with other mobs as he has is AOE freeze attack.

He also provides an infinite food supply: just befriend some spiders from one nest, attack a spider from a second nest and soon you can reap the spoils of the great spider war.

you have to do that for the easiest enemies there are? you could do that with pigs too, but you have to befriend multiple and tell them to punch the crap out of each other and neutral pigs will join the party.
since you're webber though you better keep playing with your spider friends though.

well, webber also takes no health or sanity damage from eating monster foods, making i a viable food source. Also, silk and spider glands drop. Hell, I usually gain spider glands faster than I can use them, I could literally survive entire days during winter by spamming spider glands and sleeping if I wanted to.

I may be a noob saying this but Webber may be one of thee best being able to summon an army faster then any other character. (spider dens can hold up to 3-5 per depending on level and make spider dens very easily as you grow your own silk and glands are easily to obtain as NotaSnowman said "silk and spider glands drop. Hell, I usually gain spider glands faster than I can use them, I could literally survive entire days during winter by spamming spider glands and sleeping if I wanted to.") as other characters have to go searching for pigs (or make a self made pig village that takes a lot of supplies but still possible). He can also use warrior spiders to catch rabbits, butterfly, etc. a lot easily also. Webber may eat monster meat (which may be better used in the crock pot) with no harmfulness to yourself. His stats are better then most besides sanity but who cares about that, if you know what your doing. The one downfall is your army eating your OWN supplies but that can be fixed but leading them not having them do all the work for you. My finally words are everyone has their opinions (mine being Webber 3rd best character in the game) and that any character is best to someone. (like some being excerpts with willow which is amazing to me!)

Yeah but webber is a useless character lategame. Sure at start glands are important for heals or telltale hearts. But ultimatelly any professional Dragonfly raider will use much better products like jerky or pierogi in endgame.

Webber was a novelty character to get started with the new Reign of giants DLC and learn the new monsters. But after 1 week his novelty wore off and he was useless.

Basically the same with Walani. She was nice to learn shipwrecked and experiment, but for endgame she also is useless.

Both are good learning noob characters though :p

Plus in singleplayer the real endgame is shipwrecked. And a spider army is near useless in shipwrecked, because they cant swim and most endgame bosses are out in the ocean ...

edit: Also sure keep on playing webber, i mean he can be fun from time to time. But its just your opinion.
There is just too much evidence and proof that he is useless for veteran players.
Yes every avatar got pros and cons, but webber is very very low tier avatar on the same level of wes , willow and walani. But sure they are great if you want a hardcore challenge with clutches. Basically playing webber is hardcore in caves, because you get attacked by bunnies alot. Or you can make a pig king challenge, build your webber base at pig king , NEVER hammer pig houses and you need to defend yourself all the time.
