[RoG] Old Bell / Ice Staff Combo vs. Dragonfly

I read that a good strategy against the Dragonfly is to put her to sleep, ring the old bell and then freeze her so she can't get out of the range of Bigfoot. But I never managed to pull it off. I stand as close to her as possible when I ring the bell, I immediately freeze her and it even looks like Bigfoot is stomping right on her, but the Dragonfly takes no damage. Is there an exact location I have to be standing in or something? It's a pretty tedious mechanic for a game with no reload option.

maybe she dit take dmage but has more hp then bigfoot damage is?

In the singeplayer Dragonfly has 2,750 HP. The Old Bell only does 1,000 damage. So you have to repeat two more times to kill her with the bell.
