Xbox One or PC?
I know I'm talking to the PC audience here, but didn't know where else to turn. You guys are the core community (which on its own as a fact may be the decision maker anyway).

I have DS on both Xbox One and PC. For this game I play both on my 55" LED TV for couch comfort and use my Xbox One Controller. My wife likes the game a lot.

There are slight graphical differences that I pick up. Maybe refresh or frames differences, but they are small. The sound quality seems better using Xbox. I have a 7.1 sound system by HDMI for use both ways.

What I'm wondering is maybe like Binding of Isaac that more patches and positive game improvements are moreso on PC? What's the real benefit for PC? Other than mods and map tweeks?

I need to hear something to sway me one way or the other otherwise I keep shifting between and don't progress lol. I'm weird like that.

Help me decide. Give me second opinions pretty please ;)

Well, if you're wondering if mods would be an advantage to PC, why don't you try downloading a set of mods and playing to see if you care for that? You could even have a "clean" version of Don't Starve on Xbox and a modded one on PC to continue using them both? Or pick different goals on your PC version vs your Xbox one so you're using them both until you really do find a strong preference for one.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with console versions so I can't compare them so much. I do enjoy having easy access to a search engine in another tab while I play. :P If you like aspects of Steam, easier integration? (Or does Steam have a platform in consoles too?) Easy screenshotting and sharing? Backing up files?

PC is a better option. Mods escpially technical ones are very useful if not mandatory. Seeing what season you are in and how many days from the next season is very useful. Seeing what tempature you are just to see if your safe. Seeing how high your naughtiness is to prevent that one Krampus from spawning that will take your items and kill you.

You can use your Xbox controller on your PC, and hook up your PC to the TV via hdmi.

Then you can play on your 55" screen, use the controller, and have mod support.

he's not wrong and is actually very smart idea that I may just ditch my xbox and whenever I play a game that I want to play with a controller I'll just do that. Otherwise sticking with the small monitor for mouse and keyboard.
