Renevable stone/flint/gold in shipwrecked
Hi, before going to next expansion(Hamlet) i would like to "beat" shipwrecked expansion. By that i mean having stable way of survining. I want to know how do you deal with farming of stone, flint and gold in shipwrecked? I mean yes, those items are renevable in shipwrecked(draggon eggs=stone/flint Trawl net/booty bag/yarctopus = coins) but those ways are a bit to slow for my current consuption of these items. Is there any better/faster/efficient way of farming those items? Oh yes and most importantly, I want to play pure Shiprecked, so no traveling to RoG word via seaworthy.

A lot of rocks, flint, gold can be found in magma biomes. If you run out and don't have any islands then go to volcano, there is plenty of them there

I usually spend 10 days sailing, exploring and collecting stuff in SW. Maping Islands with valuable resources and as well chosing my home base island. Exploring in Sw takes a lot more time. This is why I spend more time than my normal 7 days in main Don't Starve

guys you are talking about start, I talking about long term perspective, like 1000+ days. In RoG you just feed pg kinf for gold, and make mass mole farm for stone/flint/nitre/gold, with those methods you can farm stacks of resources in 1 in game day. You can't do same in SW(yarctoppus only take 1 item per day, damm this bastard). My main issues is that yes, ofcourse gold/flint/stones are renewable in SW, but it seems for me, that this proccess is to slow. That why i got feeling that I am missing so way/strategy for flint/rock/gold maintainance in SW.

That is my point those in the endgame you dont need flint or gold at all since eventually the obsidian did replace those inferior materials. Unless you want at day 1000+ create sensless 1000+ alchemy engines, your issue is not really well founded?
It is literally like the endgame in DST, you will never need anymore gold or flints, since all crappy tools got replaced or upgraded and recycled with Thulecite pickaxe and loots.
Besides for this balancing reason they put octopuss and slot machine in SW instead of the default pig king from classic.
Slot machine farming can wield you endless loot anyways :p

If you ask me farming-wise the SW is the most superior DLC compared with DST, Classic or even Hamlet. This is why i really don't understand why u ask farming tips for the most easy and imbalanced farming SW out there. It is super duper easy to get rich in SW ....

http://dontstarve.wikia.com/wiki/Yaarctopus

And don't forget should u ever empty out a full big world of SW for ressources cause you just played too long on that island, you can always make a portal and jump into a new SW world.
SW got endless ressources typically. Just collect the wooden things or it's equivalents, if you don't like RNG farming with slot machines etc

Don't make an elephant out of an insect :p

But typically beeing limited to only 1 DLC content update obviously you won't have all powers unlocked. The true endless imba 30000+ day world save files is only possible with hamlet + sw + rog combined. Since you can make imba combos and synergies with endless farming like fire farms, green staff exploiting and insane stuffs :p

Hmmmm I thing I found answer from your comment. So it basically slot machine + obsidian(in my case). This little flint that i get from draggon eggs should be theoretically enought for my needs(transforming normal tool to obsidian one). Thank for info !!! :D time to kill some inocent seals :D

Obsidian tools have big disadvantage of setting things on fire and overheat you. Walking back and fourth to shore to cool them down is very annoying and counter productive.

Ye, but it seems that flint/gold won't reprenish so fast to use flint/gold tools all the time. Obsidian tools have big durability and you can always have multiple tools in inventory to exchange between low and hight charge tools. (all things that I said is speculations, I hadn't play so much to test practically of my idea)

Obsidian are the superior tools, full stop. You just need to learn to utilize em correct :p

They don't have disadvantage in hand of vet. Simply get wet and correct seasons. Countering overheat is not hard at all.

Especially overheat is much more prevalent and annoying in old RoG.

And hamlet don't even have overheat unless you try to provoke it :p
I mean you can even eat banana pop to counter overheat or icecream. Millions of ways
