But whatever you do, do NOT browse any Wikia sites. All of the times I visited deadly ransomeware viruses were installed on my computer (that were blocked, thankfully). Try to find another way to get info about this game, it can be a wiki, but not on Wikia sites.

It gave me a popup that in turn gave me a virus that I had to clean up. Wikia also messes up my phone when I have too many tabs open. Wikia is okay, it's just that ads and evil pop-ups always happen when I try to use them. It's really not worth the risk even with a pop-up blocker, but from what I've seen it does not do much on a cell phone.

I never had a pop up, I think your Internet browser just got infected from something else.

Maybe it has something to do with where you live? Some parts of the world show different ads than others, after all.

Can you post which url got blacklisted? It's highly unlikely for a wikia website to distribute malware, you probably got it from somewhere else. Furthermore, all modern web browsers will have that URL on blacklist in matter of minutes and warn you from accessing it.

I don't know what you mean by blacklisting, but before it broke, windows defender (which is normally useless) blocked multiple adware viruses from DS wiki. I already told you about the rare chance of pop ups, because I try to download programs and files from trustworthy sites.

I even saw a few of these attempts. I might just be unlucky.

TL;DR: The pop-ups that I only got from there are the only malicious thing about wikia. I've only gotten about 2 of them, and I now have a blocker. The only reason it penetrated my systen was because I was browsing wikia in a steam game.

Haven't had issues on any of the Wikia sites. Go on the DS Wikia often.
