Killer bees in bee boxes?

I haven't played for a while and I started up a game a couple days ago. At first there were honey bees, now I have killer bees in my boxes and they are picking fights with my pig farm/village. Can someone drop knowledge on me?

if it's spring, that's totally normal. bees are hostile during that season. if not, then it may be a bug.

Yea haven't played for a long long time, if I kill them off will they come back? Honey is my winter food

yeah, they'll respawn after a few game hours, which is a couple of minutes in real time.

you should relocate either the pig houses or the bee boxes, so that they don't end up in counter-productive confrontations :)

I haven't played since the RoG update. I'm just starting over, I don't think I'll find a map as good as I just had. I put my pig houses directly next to my bee boxes, pigs and bees make great winter food but not when they fight.

they are a great food source. you'll always have more than you need.

with pigs, spiders, and bees, you're pretty much set with an endless supply of honey ham.
OR.. you could give any extra cooked monster meat to a bird for an endless supply of some good ol' bacon and eggs

Can confirm bees are hostile in spring (RoG only). and yea they fight with the pigs during that time a lot.

I started over, I built my base on top of some hives. I find this slightly annoying but oh well, if someone could make a mod to switch that I would love you long time

Ask this in the Workshop forum. More chance someone will notice it. There might even be a mod out there that does what you are asking. Search around.
