Baggage tips for 1st travel from RoG to Hamlet?
Heyo! I'm going to travel from RoG to Hamlet, I've crafted the Skyworthy and am now wondering what the essential items I should take for the trip?

I've played hamlet before but not for very long, as have found it much more difficult. So I want another Skyworthy there so I can travel back & forth for supplies but I know that will take a while to setup.

So basically, what should I take with me to ensure a surviving trip at least until I build another Skyworthy?

My suggestions of things to bring would be the eyebrella if you have it, some pig skins for football helmets, a bit of wood for log suits, bundle wrap if you were lucky enough to get the blueprint, living logs for making dark swords and eventually the skyworthy, as they are pretty rare in hamlet, and obviously some food, weapons, and armor to keep yourself in good shape. Also having pre-made fire pit, crock pot, fridge, lightning rod, alchemy engine, etc can make life a bit easier as well. Good luck!

Thanks so much Katmanjoe! Is there a way to pre-build another skyworthy in ROG when I've already used the can of silly string?

The only way to pre-build another skyworthy would be if you had gathered all the things, finished the teleportato and taken it to the next version of RoG or shipwrecked already and gathered another can of silly string in that world.
Since I think you probably have not done this, the way to quickly get the silly string from hamlet would be to find 2 pieces of iron, make a bell pein hammer for treasure hunting, and finding the special ruins in the rainforest that lead to the 2nd pig island where the royal palace is. You can tell which one because the pig on the roof will have the scepter in its hand.
In those ruins there is a room with a special treasure you will need the ball pein hammer for. I forget if it is the blue sow statue or the jeweled truffle, but it is one of them. Use the ball pein hammer and get the treasure to give to the pig queen. She'll give you the key you can use in the royal palace to get hamlet's can of silly string. If you already know the recipe for the skyworthy and have the 4 living logs and 4 nightmare fuel, you can have another skyworthy just like that.
I just realized I should have suggested to bring a lantern and/or mining hat to hamlet as well. They can help a lot exploring the ruins.
If there's any other questions, write em down. I'll try and help.

Awesome, thanks! I didn't think about jumping to a new ROG world.. but I guess that would make my want to go back & forth pointless as I have setup a good base that's I'd like to go back to for supplies. Looks like I'll have to find via the hamlet ruins. Thanks for your help!

Ack! I forgot about the aporkalypse!
If you haven't died and it isn't too late and you don't mind using console, you can hit the
` key and copy and paste this command to stop the aporkalypse:

GetSeasonManager():StartTemperate()

I would not recommend using this command except just the first time you come to Hamlet when you had no chance to get used to Hamlet yet. Then you can find the Aporkalypse Calendar legit later.

When I build long term worlds, I start my first world at Hamlet so I can have the path to pig ruins 4 open. This is the island where the clock to stop it is. This is a lot of complexities though lol.

I've never really used commands, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

In the future, remember that the aporkalypse starts on day 65 whether you are in hamlet or not, even if it's not generated. Seasons sync up across all worlds and so does the aporkalypse. It will not stop the first time it happens until you find the calander. There is a way to get around this to keep in mind for future worlds when you are going from RoG/SW to Hamlet.

Instead of going to Hamlet from the Skyworthy to begin with, make another world in a new slot starting in hamlet on day 1, save and exit. Go back to your other world you are going to hop from, and you can now merge the hamlet slot you made. That way when you go to Hamlet, it'll still be at day 1 and the Apocalypse won't start until 65 days later.

This will desync the day count in Hamlet but it is worth it IMO if you do not want to rush going to Hamlet before day 65 just to deal with the Aporkalypse. Only issue is this requires a free save slot or a world already in hamlet that is not merged.

Good info from UNBREAKABLE there. I hadn't thought of merging with another Hamlet world since I never tried it.

Good tip, next time I suppose, thanks!

Aporkalypse is easy. You beat both the vampire bats and the ancient herald simply by equipping a torso and head armor and holding down the attack button with a ham bat. They all go down right quick.

In fact Aporkalypse makes the game easier for experienced players because vampire bats flood you with monster meats and pig skins daily.

I am going to have to give it a try! Thanks for the advice :)
